I took my car to Thompsons after hitting a kangaroo. They were quite polite and helpful when I first bought it in but that's where the service stopped.I was told someone would quote the damage by the end of the week. 3 weeks later, damage was still not quoted and after trying to call them repeatedly I was rudely informed that it just wasn't done and that was that. My car was there another week and by that time my rego had run out. Because of the damage, I was unable to get a pink slip to register the car. After 6 weeks of the car sitting there idle, it still had not been quoted. When I called to complain and find out when they would be getting onto this, they said that they were busy with work and they would hopefully get to it by the 20th of September (another 3 weeks away). I told them that I would have it towed somewhere else to get the work done.In the end I had the car towed (at AAMI's expense) to Duncan's in Narrabri and the people there had the car quoted and fixed within 2 weeks. When I went to pick it up from Duncan's it was washed and their service was exemplary. Thompsons was an absolute joke. I have spoken to other people who have taken there car there and their experience was similar.The only positive was that they didn't charge me to have my car there for the 6 weeks I was waiting on the quote.
